This Melbourne residence is one of grand design, featuring many of the finer things in life, such as a pool, tennis court and immaculate, lush lawns. While we love completing domestic landscaping projects big and small, we can’t deny the joy in meeting the challenge of a large-scale project.

The landscaping project took four months to construct, bringing a Jack Merlo design to life, bit by bit! The residential property is based in Melbourne and the design encompassed an impressive entry and pathway, lap pool, cabana area complete with decking, outdoor sunken lounge and a tennis court. All construction was completed by Surfcoast Landscaping on-site.

We provided extensive excavation, importing more than 250m3 of soil, with irrigation throughout supplied by four underground concrete tanks. Advanced trees were on the agenda with a series of seven-metre palm trees imported from NSW and lifted into place with a 200-tonne crane.

The stonework was a delight with bluestone cladding on walls, granite stepping stone and raised concrete-block garden beds. Nothing was left undone – everything complemented Jack’s comprehensive landscape design.

The lush lawn is Sir Walter Buffalo instant turf, a lush and soft yet hardy grass perfect for a residential property and the climate in Melbourne.
